Good design starts with honest conversations.
We keep our process open and our answers honest, so there are no surprises along the way.
-
Our focus is medical, healthcare and training devices, along with other technical products such as IoT and consumer hardware. If your product needs to be easy to use, buildable at scale and look like it belongs in its category, we can help.
-
We lead industrial design and design for manufacture, including CAD detailing and manufacturer liaison. For detailed mechanical, electronic or software engineering, we work with trusted partners or alongside your in-house engineers.
-
Most projects move through discovery, concept, development and production handover. Timelines depend on complexity and approvals. As a rough guide, a concept phase can take 3 to 5 weeks and a full concept-to-production project 9 to 12 months. We'll give you a clear plan and phased-based milestones after an initial conversation.
-
We offer fixed-scope or phase-based pricing for defined projects, and day-rate or retainer arrangements for ongoing or embedded support. After a short briefing we'll recommend the model that fits your project.
-
Yes. If you don't need or can't yet afford a full-time design hire, we can embed with your team for a set number of days a week or month. In that role we set design priorities, brief and manage contractors, review supplier work and keep the product moving. It's a good fit for startups and for teams with a surge in workload.
-
Yes. A design review is a short, fixed-fee engagement where we assess usability, ergonomics, appearance and manufacturability, and give you a prioritised list of what to fix. It's useful before tooling, before a funding round or when a project feels stuck.
-
A short description of the product, who will use it and where, any technical or regulatory constraints, your target timeline and budget range, and any existing research, drawings or prototypes. If you only have an idea, that's fine. We can help turn it into a brief.
-
Yes, we’re happy to sign an NDA before we discuss your project. We can review and sign yours, or send ours to get things moving faster. To prepare ours, we’ll just need your name, business name, registered business address, phone number, business email and ABN or ACN.
-
We work with manufacturers locally and overseas, and can help you assess suppliers and review samples. Ownership of intellectual property is agreed in our project terms on a per project basis, but typically you own the final design outputs on payment.
-
Regulatory submissions stay with you or your regulatory consultant. What we do is design in a way that supports them, with human factors thinking, risk-aware design decisions and clear documentation, so your regulatory work is easier. If you need a regulatory partner, we're happy to introduce one.
-
Yes. We regularly work alongside clients' quality and regulatory teams, and we can produce design deliverables in the format your system needs, such as use specifications, design inputs and review records. We're not a regulatory consultancy, so we don't replace your quality or regulatory advisors. We work with them.

We're based in Brisbane and work with clients across Australia and internationally, in person where it's useful and remotely otherwise.
